About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CVU experience required License: Pending licenses accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with hemodynamics Ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Experience with cardiac assistive machines EPIC experience preferred Description: The position involves caring for adult patients in a cardiovascular unit. Ratios are 1:1 for all ICU shifts and 2:1 for all Tele shifts. The clinician must be able to float within the cardiac service line as needed. Travelers are required to work 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Experience with cardio-thoracic surgery, open heart patients, TAVR, and post-cardiac surgery patients with telemetry is essential. Skills required include arterial line management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and ventilator management. The ideal candidate will have experience in post-cardiac surgery, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. The daily census will typically involve 3 patients. Travelers are expected to fulfill all necessary responsibilities during the assignment duration.
