Maintenance Supervisor-2nd Shift Full Time – Fort Smith, AR, US Position: 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor Job Duties: Ability to supervise maintenance staff on shift. Ability to be a strong leader of a small group of people. Ability to work in Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets. Maintain cost‑effective practices that are compliant with quality policies and procedures. Plan and schedule shift needs; utilize employees, equipment, and materials to achieve quality products. Assign maintenance employees to jobs and instruct them in the proper procedures that ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. Ensure plant safety by overseeing general working conditions. Ensure that all personnel are properly trained and fully understand the processes they are involved in. Ensure that all personnel have a complete understanding of plant good manufacturing practices and HACCP programs. Ensure that all personnel possess good communication skills and can effectively communicate with other departments. Ability to work with Quality Assurance and USDA. Ensure continuous improvement initiatives are supported by all personnel. Strong knowledge of electronics, motors, machinery, scales, freezers, and other maintenance‑related parts and equipment.
