We’re looking for full‑time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Texarkana, TX area. About the Position of Automotive Mechanic As Mavis’s leaders in undercar repairs, our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They handle undercar repairs—including brakes, struts, and shocks—and are responsible for completing state‑mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires. Qualifications Minimum requirements for Automotive Mechanics are: At least 18 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the United States. At least 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform all duties. An extensive toolbox of personal tools used for performing undercar repairs. Preferred qualifications include: State inspection license(s). ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). Given the active nature of the role, Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair.
