Senior Project Controls Manager

Role Description

The Senior Project Controls Manager at Quanta Power Solutions is responsible for leading project controls functions across large, complex capital projects or portfolios, including:

• Cost control
• Scheduling
• Forecasting
• Risk management
• Progress measurement
• Performance reporting

This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives by implementing effective project controls systems, processes, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or project management.
• Experience managing large EPC, infrastructure, energy, industrial, or construction projects.
• Advanced proficiency with:
• Primavera P6
• Microsoft Project
• Excel
• Power BI or similar reporting tools
• Cost management systems (EcoSys, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Strong understanding of:
• Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Critical Path Method (CPM)
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Change management
• Risk analysis
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

• Lead all project controls activities for major projects or programs.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Oversee cost management processes including budgeting, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and change control.
• Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, cost, and productivity baselines.
• Prepare executive dashboards, KPI reports, and project performance analyses.
• Manage project risk registers and support mitigation planning.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and operations teams.
• Review contractor schedules, progress reports, and payment applications.
• Establish project controls standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead schedule risk analysis and scenario planning.
• Support claims analysis, delay analysis, and recovery planning when required.
• Mentor and supervise project controls engineers, schedulers, and cost analysts.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
