And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.THE WORKLockheed Martin is seeking a skilled Level 3 Systems Engineer with an active TS/SCI security clearance to work from our Herndon, VA location.Stormbreaker Operations team is seeking a highly motivated Software Systems Engineer to direct all phases of verification, testing and installation of software changes and hardware component changes to a large, complex information system. We're looking for Engineers who want that next step. Lead projects pertaining to software testing and transition, and ensure that schedules, activities, requirements and resources are properly coordinated. The Test Director is expected to perform work without appreciable direction. The selected candidate is also expected to meet technical results, quality and schedule objectives for assigned tasks as well as thoroughly understand and apply technical principles and concepts solving moderately complex problems. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:Participation in test status meetings and review boardsAuthoring Problem ReportsTest plan developmentCoordination with end usersEnterprise verification and test procedure management (i.e. development, release and maintenance).Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
