Medical Assistant I
Seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant I to support clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced physician practice. You will assist providers with patient care, perform routine procedures, and ensure smooth patient flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients, take vitals, and document information in the EHR
- Assist with exams, procedures, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Administer injections and immunizations per provider orders
- Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and support infection control
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, referrals, and managing provider inbox
- Participate in quality improvement and care coordination efforts
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills
Job Type: Full-Time Location: Needham, Massachusetts
Pay: $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
