Job Details\n \n Job Title: Travel PCU Registered Nurse / Stepdown Cardiac RN \n Setting: Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown Cardiac Unit \n Location: Lima, Ohio \n Assignment Length: 13 weeks \n Shift Duration: 12-hour nights \n Shifts per Week: 3 shifts per week \n Hours per Week: 36 \n Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010 \n Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and every other holiday may be required \n Unit Size: 18 beds \n Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics \n Job Requirements\n \n Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact RN license \n Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required \n Acute care hospital experience preferred \n Current BLS and ACLS certifications required \n NIH Stroke certification required \n Experience with pre/post cath lab patients strongly preferred \n Experience caring for patients with vents and trachs preferred \n Comfort working with dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and complex cardiac patients \n Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills \n Responsibilities\n \n Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation \n Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, telemetry, and stepdown needs, including post-cath, post-pacer, and post-procedure care \n Administer medications safely and in accordance with state practice standards and unit policies \n Care for patients receiving drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin \n Provide care for patients requiring advanced respiratory support, including BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, trachs, and vents \n Assess and respond to changes in patient condition quickly and confidently in an acute care environment \n Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate treatment and patient teaching \n Support patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice in a high-acuity unit \n Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication in a fast-paced travel nursing assignment \n \n Apply now to take the next step in your travel nursing career and join this Progressive Care Unit in Lima, Ohio.
