We are hiring a Team Lead of Pre‑Litigation to own, architect, and command the pre‑suit phase of our plaintiff‑side employment practice.

This role is for a proven plaintiff‑side operator —someone who understands that real value is created before a complaint is filed and who has already demonstrated the ability to build leverage, drive outcomes, and lead strategy at scale .

This is not a lateral step for defense counsel.

This is not a training role.

This is not intake.

We are seeking an attorney who already thinks, negotiates, and leads like a plaintiff‑side strategist .

The Role You Will Own

You will design and lead the firm’s pre‑litigation function, including:

• End‑to‑end authority over cases from intake through pre‑suit resolution
• Strategic control of:
• Liability framing
• Evidence development
• Damages modeling
• Narrative and leverage
• Direction of high‑impact demand packages intended to force movement
• Leadership of pre‑suit negotiations and mediations
• Decision‑making authority on when settlement maximizes value vs. when filing increases it
• Delivery of litigation‑ready, pressure‑tested files when escalation is warranted
• Mentorship and strategic direction for pre‑litigation attorneys and staff

Practice Focus

You will lead senior‑level matters involving:

• NYCHRL and NYSHRL
• Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA
• Section 1981
• Equal Pay Act
• New York Labor Law

Who This Is For

• Has built plaintiff‑side leverage for years—not months
• Understands agency practice as a weapon , not a box‑checking exercise
• Negotiates from document‑backed exposure , not bluster
• Is trusted to make high‑stakes value decisions without oversight
• Can lead lawyers, set standards, and drive results

Requirements (Non‑Negotiable)

• JD and active New York Bar
• 10+ years of plaintiff‑side employment law experience
• Deep, demonstrable ownership of:
• Pre‑suit case strategy
• EEOC / NYSDHR practice from charge to resolution
• High‑value demand drafting and negotiation
• Clear, documented record of meaningful pre‑suit recoveries
• Ability to operate with maximum autonomy and accountability

Defense‑side experience alone will not be considered.

Compensation & Platform

This is a top‑tier leadership role within a plaintiff‑side practice that values outcomes over optics .

• Eligible for bonus of 10% of net attorney fees on settlement of the first $1M; 15% of net attorney fees on settlement above $1M
