Job Title – Registered Nurse – RN First Assist (RNFA)
Location – 1399 Weimer Rd, Taos, New Mexico 87571, United States
Duration – 13 Weeks (06/08/2026 onward)
Shift – Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (09:00 AM – 05:30 PM)
Rotation – Yes (5x8 and/or optional 4x10 based on traveler/facility needs, no block scheduling)
Float – No
Call Requirement – Yes

Job Description
Registered Nurse – RNFA responsible for providing both first assist and circulator duties within a fast-paced operating room environment. The RNFA will support orthopedic, gynecology, general surgery, robotics, and urology procedures while ensuring patient safety and adherence to surgical protocols. Call responsibilities will primarily be for first assist coverage.

Mandatory Skills / Experience
Minimum 2.5–3 years of RN experience preferred
Strong orthopedic surgery experience REQUIRED
Robotic surgery experience REQUIRED
Experience as OR RN Circulator required
Experience as RN First Assist required
Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System required
C-section experience preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operating room environment

Surgical Experience Required – Orthopedic: arthroscopy (knee, shoulder, wrist), ORIF (shoulder, hip, humerus), total hip & knee replacement; General Surgery: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, inguinal/umbilical hernia repair, laparoscopic-assisted procedures; Gynecology: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, C-sections, D&C, laparoscopic gynecological procedures; Robotics: Da Vinci Xi Surgical System.
