Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Join a dynamic team in the Main PACU. Our unit features:

• Number of Beds: 14
• Number of Staff: 16
• Staff Composition:
  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse and 6 staff nurses
  • Night Shift: 2 overnight staff
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech

The PACU provides care for a diverse range of patients recovering from anesthesia following various surgical procedures. Ideal candidates are those who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while staying committed to team collaboration and positive patient outcomes.

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following:

• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
• Preferred Skills: Candidates with previous experience in similar settings will be prioritized.

Our PACU team is involved in the recovery processes for a variety of procedures, including:

• Endoscopy
• Hernia repairs
• Myomectomy
• Hysterectomy
• Nephrectomy
• Joint repair/replacements
• Lumbar fusions
• General surgeries
• Trauma recoveries

The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, and be willing to assist colleagues to ensure high-quality patient care.

Additional Information:

Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs

Floating Areas: Pre-operative care may be required.

Schedule: This position may require on-call responsibilities as needed, with frequency determined by unit needs.
