Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position is based in Chicago, Illinois. The role involves providing post-anesthesia recovery care within an organized healthcare environment. This position requires quick response capabilities and adherence to clinical protocols to ensure patient safety during the recovery process.

Job Details:

• Location: Chicago, Illinois
• Shift Schedule: Evenings; 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday
• Schedule: 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications including ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). Education requirements, including relevant nursing degrees, must be met along with valid licensure. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in a PACU or critical care setting.
• Additional Information: The position demands epic experience and includes on-call responsibilities. On-call shifts are scheduled as follows: weekday calls from 8:30 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 8 weekday call shifts within a 6-week period; weekend calls from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, totaling 4 weekend call shifts within the same period. Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
