Qualifications:

• Current certification in Special Education with Adapted Curriculum endorsement
• Experience working with students in a self-contained classroom preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and a collaborative approach
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, families, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction in accordance with each student’s IEP goals in a supportive self-contained environment
• Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional materials to address each learner’s strengths and challenges
• Assess student progress and document outcomes, adjusting teaching methods as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and caregivers
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and achievement
