Emergency Veterinarian - Primarily Day and Swing

Job Description Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital (Mass Vet) is seeking experienced ER veterinarians to join our growing team. We are a premier tertiary facility in the Boston area, focused on training, teaching, and collaboration. Schedule & Responsibilities Average of 3 shifts per week (12 per 4‑week schedule) with a mixture of day, swing, or overnight shifts (2 per 4‑week schedule may be required); 8‑hour scheduled shifts: receive cases for 7 hours; Primary responsibilities include stabilization and workup of patients presenting to the ER. Once a patient is rounded over at the end of the shift, no management of hospitalized patients is required. Qualifications Internship training plus at least 1 year of ER experience in a specialty hospital setting; Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and emotional competencies; Desire to contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment. Our Team & Environment 48,000 sq ft, VECCS Level 1 certified emergency and specialty hospital located 11 miles north of Boston; Advanced diagnostics and treatments including digital cytology, therapeutic plasma exchange, dialysis, high‑flow oxygen, ventilation, subcutaneous catheter placement, interventional radiology, and more; Highly skilled technicians and nursing staff; ER department comprising 35 clinicians and criticalists, with average tenure of 5+ years; Comprehensive specialty services available 7 days a week; Part‑time onsite social worker available for clients and staff.
