Position: MRI Technologist

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00) Start Date: ASAP Location: TBD City, State

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a night shift position. The successful candidate will perform MRI procedures and provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance (MR)
• Valid Washington State License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Pediatric experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures on various body parts including extremities, abdomen, spine, pelvis, head, chest, and thorax.
• Work independently with a minimal case load of 6-9 exams per day.
• Utilize Siemens MRI equipment effectively.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.

Additional Information

• On-call is not required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Must be willing to float between nearby facilities as needed.
• All requested time off must be provided during the submission process.
• Must commit to working 3 out of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Patient Care & Facility Details

The MRI department is staffed with one MRI technologist on duty during weekends, supported by an assistant for patient transport and exam preparation. The unit is designed to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and efficient patient care.

Skills Required

• Expertise in MRI procedures including brain, abdomen, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and contrast media administration.
• Ability to work independently and manage patient flow effectively.
