Anvil, Altius, Ghost, and other developmental UAS platforms are built to operate in remote environments with limited user input, driving requirements for reliability and autonomy. We have developed an autonomy stack that receives user intent, responds to detections processed at the edge, and coordinates flight patterns for groups of assets. We want systems engineers with experience in this field to help design and manage the next generation of Anduril’s flight vehicles. In order to succeed at Anduril, a systems engineer needs to be familiar with simulation and rapid prototyping development to drive complex electro-mechanical and aero-performance design trades, in addition to supporting the engineering product development, production, and sustainment through the entire product lifecycle.WHAT YOU’LL DOEnable UAS C2 capabilities through resilient network designDerive system/subsystem/component level requirementsDesign, develop, and maintain system components that meet functional and performance requirements in complex system environmentsConduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability, scalability, and resilience of software applications, especially within a distributed systems contextWork closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware componentsCollaborate with the team to define and document software engineering processes and practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSA sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture, and a passion for systems development, integration, and testing12+ years experience as a network engineer that highlights your ability to execute complex engineering level tasks as an individual and part of a teamExpert level knowledge of multicast and supporting protocols IGMP & PIMExpert level knowledge of unicast and supporting protocols OSPF & BGPExperience with end to end testing of both unicast and multicast data flowsExperience with Quality of Service and CBWFQAdvanced knowledge of Linux based operating systemsHands on experience with networking design, test and operation of communications systems for Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS)Proficiency in test script development using common languages (Python, Matlab etc)Excellent verbal & written communication skillsMust hold a U.S. Secret security clearanceAbility to travel domestically up to 50% as needed to support various efforts, and excitement to work onsite at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA the majority of the time!Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with End to End RF Integration with, but not limited to, Unmanned Aerial SystemsHands on experience with tactical radiosUS Salary Range$200,000—$253,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
