Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level II trauma center, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT certification in MRI.
Details
- Inpatient MRI department in a fast-paced, high-volume Level II trauma center serving a 500-mile radius
- 3x12-hour variable shifts including weekends
- Schedule may include major holidays with potential to pick up one additional shift per schedule period
- On-call requirements to be discussed during interview
- Facility may float staff to other areas based on competency level and organizational needs
- Epic EMR used for charting, with training provided during orientation or candidates may test out
Requirements
- ARRT certification in MRI required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
- Experience with GE or Philips scanners required
- Minimum of one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year required
- Must be able to care for patients ranging from infant to geriatric populations
Additional Information
- Produce diagnostic MRI scans and assist radiologists and referring physicians with MRI procedures
- Operate MRI scanning equipment and make technical decisions to ensure optimal image quality
- Maintain accuracy and effective communication while working efficiently under pressure
- Minimum of 2 major holidays required during the assignment
- Facility may cancel full or partial shifts with 48 hours notice for low census per 13-week contract
- 60-mile radius requirement with no local candidates accepted
- Returning travelers must have a 13-week break after completing a prior contract
- Requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and will not be added to the end of the contract
