About This Role
SKI COUNTRY SPORTS, The Asheville Bicycle Company's parent store, is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Ski Sales Associates to join our retail team in Asheville, NC. In this role, you will connect with the local outdoor community, helping beginners and seasoned winter athletes select the perfect ski gear, apparel, and accessories for their next mountain adventure. Your passion for snow sports and exceptional customer service will drive sales and ensure every guest leaves ready to hit the slopes.
What You'll Do- Greet and assist customers in selecting skis, boots, bindings, and winter outerwear.
- Provide expert recommendations based on customer skill level, terrain preferences, and fit.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on winter sports product lines, technologies, and safety standards.
- Merchandise displays and restock inventory to keep the sales floor organized and visually appealing.
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Basic knowledge of winter sports concepts, gear, and terminology.
- Must be an active skier or snowboarder with a passion for the sport.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience working in a ski or outdoor specialty retail shop.
- Familiarity with ski gear tuning, binding adjustment, or boot fitting techniques.
