General Liability Pre-Suit Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a pre-litigation attorney to serve as a General Liability Pre-Suit Attorney in Washington, DC. The role involves managing pre‑litigation work and guiding clients through the case process, focusing primarily on personal injury cases. Duties Handle all pre‑litigation work daily. Complete the Flip‑to‑Lit approval process. Guide clients through the case process. Draft and file pre‑litigation documents. Complete TD approval for liability issues. Oversee settlement negotiations and demand package formation. Manage the release approval process. Lead a team of 6–10 Case Managers. Drive compliance and KPIs among the team. Conduct EUOs, PIP statements, and recorded statements. Requirements Law degree from a fully accredited law school. Active member in good standing with the DC State Bar Association. 1+ years of personal injury experience. Ability to manage a high volume of pre‑litigation cases. Excellent client service and communication skills. Strong leadership skills. Self‑starter driven by long‑term career goals. Superior writing and oral advocacy skills. Desire to become part of a trial team. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Active DC State Bar membership. Skills Strong leadership and team management.
