About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, General Manager to lead and manage all operational aspects with a focus on increasing news and programming ratings and market revenue. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, providing strong leadership to the staff, and ensuring the implementation of sound policies and performance goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in management within a broadcasting company, particularly in the areas of sales, advertising, media, promotions, news, and finance. The SVP, General Manager will also be tasked with overseeing the financial activities, marketing strategy, and maintaining strong community relationships, especially with the Latino community. Candidates for this position at the company should be exceptionally skilled, results-oriented, and capable of rapidly establishing credibility and respect. Essential competencies include being a self-motivated team player, having excellent people skills, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to communicate effectively. A tough but fair negotiator with sound judgment and impeccable integrity is essential. While not mandatory, bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
