RN - Labor and Delivery (L&D)

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Minimum 3 years experience required. Accepts 1st time travelers! ASAP START! 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights). On-Call is Voluntary. Must be willing to float if needed to Perinatal. Will be placed on call if the RN is not needed for their scheduled shift. MUST HAVE EPIC EXPERIENCE.

Unit Details: 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU & Post-Partum. 24 OB hospitalist & OB anesthesia. Low and High Risk L&D.

Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults

Required Skills: Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Circulate for C-section

Unit Systems: SBAR, Omnicell, eMD Allscripts

Required Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced

RTO must be on the submittal. No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment. 1 Holiday RTO must only be submitted but it is not guaranteed to be approved. Must work most holidays.

Once RTO is submitted, this cannot be changed unless it’s to cancel time requested - ensure that you have confirmed all dates needed off for the full 13 week contract. NO MORE THAN 3 DAYS RTO MAX

Active California license required at submission. References required. Required certifications must be included with submission. Local candidates accepted at the travel rate. Return staff reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Candidates with license restrictions, disciplinary actions, board investigations, or background findings will not be considered and may be canceled at any stage.

Pre-Start Requirements: Testing EKG Exam Advanced EKG exam required. Two attempts permitted; 80% minimum passing score. Onsite exam: 20 questions 17 rhythm strips 3 general questions 45-minute time limit Failure results in assignment cancellation. Modules Required prior to start and vary by specialty. Completion tracked via transcripts. Billable: Clinical: up to 8 hours Non-Clinical: up to 2 hours Additional time is non-billable. Facility Requirements: Smoke/Nicotine-Free Facility. Arrive free of tobacco odor.
