Quick Facts Location: Spokane, WA Start Date: 09/10/2026 Duration: 7+ months Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Call from 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Weekend Call included Hours/Week: 40+ hours/week Employment Type: Contract (Travel/Locum) Licenses/Certifications: Current Physician Assistant license, BLS required Experience: Minimum 3+ years in cardiothoracic surgery preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (pay package discussed upon application) Benefits include: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, and travel reimbursements (when applicable) Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated support team to ensure your success What You’ll Do Perform daily rounds for patient assessment and discharge planning Assist in all cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including robotic surgeries, bypass grafting, valve replacements, and implantations Manage post-operative care and monitor ICU and OR patients Participate in on-call rotations, handling emergency procedures and patient management Conduct history and physical exams, order labs, and develop treatment plans Support multidisciplinary team rounds and documentation Assist with chest tube management and patient discharges What You Need Valid Physician Assistant license in Washington State BLS certification required 3+ years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery or critical care Strong surgical assistance skills and knowledge of complex postoperative care Ability to work flexible hours and handle emergency cases efficiently About the Assignment Join a highly skilled team providing advanced cardiothoracic surgical care.
