This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day and Night 3x12-Hour Shifts, rotating between 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with the potential for variability based on operational needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the HVTI-Stepdown unit. This position may require floating to units J1-2, J33, and ED, caring for patients with similar needs. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely.
• Participate in orientation and training as required.
• Fulfill holiday shifts as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty applying for.
• 18 months of recent stepdown or progressive care experience preferred.
• Active Ohio RN license or a compact state license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
