Clinical Laboratory Technologist
$34 - $43 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for its Rome Health Hospital location in Rome, NY. The role involves performing laboratory testing procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality in a Monday-Friday afternoon/evening shift with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability for testing per established protocols
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to standard operating procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
- Report accurate test results in timely manner to support patient care
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- New York State Medical Technologist (MT) License
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- High attention to detail with strong communication skills
Compensation: $34.00 - $43.00 per hour plus shift differential; $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates
