Job Description Company Description Join a busy New York City sports medicine and orthopedic practice focused on high-quality, patient-centered care for athletes and active individuals. You’ll work closely with the surgeon in both the clinic and operating room, assisting with patient evaluations, pre- and postoperative care, procedures within scope, imaging and rehabilitation coordination, and return-to-play decisions. We’re looking for a Physician Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and values teamwork, professionalism, and continuity of care. \n Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physician Assistant role based in New York, NY. The Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care, including conducting physical examinations, obtaining medical histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing patient follow-ups, performing routine procedures within scope of practice, and documenting all encounters accurately in the electronic health record. The role will also involve patient education, coordination of care with multidisciplinary teams, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will support BetterHealthcare’s mission by delivering high-quality, compassionate care while adapting to evolving digital tools and workflows. \n Qualifications \n \n \n Valid Physician Assistant license in New York State and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. \n Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning in an outpatient or primary care setting. \n Strong proficiency in electronic health records and comfort working with digital health platforms and telehealth tools. \n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with physicians, care teams, and diverse patient populations. \n Ability to provide patient education, promote preventive care, and coordinate services across the continuum of care. \n Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and participation in quality and performance improvement efforts. \n Ability to work on-site full time in New York, NY, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. \n Prior experience in digital health, primary care, internal medicine, or related specialties is preferred. \n Certification by the NCCPA and current BLS/ACLS credentials are highly beneficial. \naa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
