Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Block scheduling may be accommodated

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with overflow from orthopedic and telemetry populations
• Manage and administer cardiac drips including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone as needed
• Monitor and assess patients within a 1:6–1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality care in a large healthcare facility setting
• Complete required pre-start modules prior to assignment begin date

Required Qualifications

• Active Alabama RN license required at time of submission (pending license may be considered)
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
• Proficiency with cardiac drip administration (cardizem, tridil, amiodarone)
• Experience working in large healthcare facilities
• Must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred; highly experienced first-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Background in orthopedic or telemetry nursing
