Pediatric Cardiac Prep and Recovery RN

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM.

Job Description: The Pediatric Cardiac Prep and Recovery RN is responsible for the pre and post-anesthesia care of patients undergoing various special cardiovascular procedures. This role requires a strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, and encompasses care for a range of patients from neonates to geriatric congenital cardiac patients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a minimum of 2-3 patient visits per day.
• Manage pre and post-anesthesia for special cardiovascular, EP, and interventional Cath procedures.
• Conduct sedated studies and cardiac surgical workups.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in pediatric ICU, stepdown, or procedural care nursing is preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Active South Carolina RN license must be in hand prior to start.
