Phlebotomist I Part-Time - North Vernon, IN Monday to Friday; schedule may vary from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Part-time position ( Pay range: $17.67+ per hour. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications as applicable. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Responsibilities Collect specimens according to established procedures (e.g., drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams). Administer oral solutions according to established training. Research and verify test/client information and orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools. Navigate a computer and enter data accurately. Identify patients, enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies. Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by test order. Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email as appropriate. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Compile and submit statistics and data when required. Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner. Complete online and in-person training courses on time. Qualifications Required Education High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA). Work Experience One year phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. The position requires effective communication in English.
