Job Title: Registered Nurse - PICU

Location: Neptune, New Jersey

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Shift Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Compensation

• Traveler Pay: $64-$67/hr ($2,304-$2,412 weekly) based on experience
• Local Pay: $53-$57/hr ($1,908-$2,052 weekly) based on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Neptune, NJ. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in an acute care setting while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

The ideal candidate will have prior PICU experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for pediatric patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and administer medications/treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility standards
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support
• Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and quality patient outcomes
• Float within Pediatrics, NICU, and Pediatric Holding areas in the ER as needed
• Participate in shift reports, interdisciplinary communication, and patient care coordination

Schedule & Additional Information

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Three holidays required during assignment
• No on-call requirement
• Floating may be required within pediatric-related units
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Requirements
Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• BSN preferred

Certifications & Licensure

• Active NJ RN License or Compact RN License required
• BLS Certification (AHA) required
• PALS Certification required
• Telemetry Certification required
• ACLS Certification preferred

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent PICU or related pediatric critical care experience required
• Experience in acute care hospital settings preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills required
