Software Engineer

Software EngineerLockheed Martin's Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software engineer. In this role, you will contribute to the systems and software design of complex combat management capability threads as part of the Future Combat Systems team. You will learn to use a model-based systems engineering approach supporting requirements, performance, and functional allocation of software components. You will also be working on the design, development, and test of containerized software applications in a microservice based architecture. The software engineer will help to test the software in a Kubernetes environment. U.S. Citizenship is required.Desired Skills:Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writingDemonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies and successfully leverage those to successfully complete projects in a timely mannerKnowledge and/or professional experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and/or DevSecOps environmentKnowledge and/or professional experience with tools like Jira, Git, BitBucket, GitLab and/or ConfluenceKnowledge and/or professional experience with Java, Python and/or JunitKnowledge and/or professional experience with C++Knowledge and/or experience with software containers, Kubernetes, and/or microservice developmentAbility to work well in a team environment and independentlyThe base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $142,760.
