Job Summary

Motif is seeking a driven and relationship-focused In-Market Sales Representative to manage the full sales cycle for advertising, sponsorship, and promotional partnerships. This role is responsible for prospecting local businesses, building client relationships, presenting marketing solutions, negotiating contracts, and managing accounts from initial outreach through campaign execution.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, community-oriented, and experienced in consultative sales with strong communication and closing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect and engage local businesses, brands, and organizations to generate new advertising and sponsorship opportunities

• Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation and outreach to closing and account follow-up

• Present customized marketing, advertising, and promotional solutions aligned with client goals

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with business owners, marketing teams, and community partners

• Develop proposals, pricing packages, and campaign recommendations

• Coordinate with internal creative, editorial, and marketing teams to ensure successful campaign execution

• Track sales activities, pipeline updates, and customer communications in CRM systems

• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

• Attend networking events, local business functions, and community activities to generate leads

• Represent the Motif RI brand professionally within the local market

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous sales, media sales, advertising, marketing, or business development experience preferred

• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts

• Self-driven with excellent organizational and time-management abilities

• Comfortable with prospecting and face-to-face client interactions

• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace preferred
