• Alternating call weeks and non-call weeks -- ongoing coverage
• Call week: 24hr inpatient shift Monday to Monday
• Non-call weeks: clinic Mon - Thu, 2 - 3 AM or PM shifts
• 10 - 25 patients seen on average during call
• Consult-based admissions -- both inpatient and outpatient
• Beeper call with 10 - 20 minute response time required
• Familiarity with intravenous medications required
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
• We arrange complimentary housing and travel and comprehensive malpractice coverage
• We simplify the credentialing and privileging process
