Embedded Software Engineer

Software EngineerThis role focuses on deploying and optimizing software as well as neural networks on embedded hardware, including Nvidia Orin and Thor. The position requires expertise in cross-compilation, GPU/accelerator optimization, and creating CI/CD pipelines.Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)Strong analytical and conceptual problem-solving capabilitiesEffective planning, organization, and time managementAbility to independently solve complex technical challengesExcellent communication skills and collaborative mindsetComfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environmentsHands-on experience in robotics domains such as perception, sensor fusion, planning, or mappingExperience with C/C++ and Python in automotive or robotics domainsExperience with real-time systems and multi-threaded programmingFamiliarity with ARM64 Linux development, TensorRT, cuDNN, CUDA, and NVIDIA DriveWorksUnderstanding of modern software design patterns and safety-critical coding practicesPrior work experience at client or in client's industryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Key tasks and expectations for the role)Develop and cross-compile C/C++ and CUDA codeCreate build pipelines for different targets using TensorRT, cuDNN, CUDA, and NVIDIA DriveWorksSupport the optimization and deployment of neural networks on NVIDIA Drive platforms (Orin, Thor)Implement hardware-accelerated algorithms for perception, localization, and planning tasksProfile and tune GPU/accelerator performance across different driving scenariosBuild and maintain CI/CD workflows for cross-compiled builds targeting ARM64/LinuxSpread knowledge and create guidelines for other engineers and provide architecture guidanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end performancePerform root-cause analysis and debugging of platform-specific issues
