Healthcare Outside Sales Consultant (Growth)

We’re a rapidly expanding primary care provider seeking a Membership Growth Consultant (MGC) – an outside healthcare sales representative responsible for generating membership leads and cultivating relationships with seniors, community partners, and senior-focused businesses.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and nurture direct‑to‑senior and business‑to‑business partnerships to generate new patient opportunities year‑round. Meet seniors individually or in groups at homes, workplaces, senior centers, or living communities to share the ChenMed value proposition. Plan, coordinate, and execute local events (information tables, health fairs, doctor talks, etc.) to reach the ideal patient demographic (Medicare‑eligible seniors age 55+). Develop strong relationships with health‑plan agents, insurance agents, social workers, case workers, senior housing managers, senior centers, and related community providers to keep ChenMed/JenCare as the top provider choice for referrals. Partner with community officials, businesses, and senior outreach programs to design initiatives that drive new patient growth. Schedule one‑on‑one sales meetings and manage referral relationships with plan agents, independent brokers, and senior community members. Manage vendors for event planning and negotiate contracts with venues. Ensure insurance agents/brokers attend community events to facilitate timely patient assignment to ChenMed/JenCare Medical Centers. Use marketing and sales tools to identify solutions, sell to new customers, and maintain up‑to‑date client information in Salesforce. Provide a monthly activity calendar of community access points and new tabletop venues; create penetration plans and initiatives in key target markets. Recover dormant customers via sales tools and marketing campaigns. Educate prospective patients on the value proposition and healthcare model; deliver presentations to large audiences. Develop distribution channels to support new patient enrollment growth and utilize all sales tools for efficiency and data collection. Collaborate with sales leadership to improve engagement effectiveness with distributors, vendors, and community partners. Build trusting relationships with brokers, insurance agents, case workers, and third‑party vendors; execute specific partner strategies. Engage new patients beyond their first appointment, maintaining relationships to positively impact retention and address complaints as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of successful sales experience; experience working with seniors and Medicare Advantage knowledge a plus. Minimum 2 years of business‑to‑business experience or equivalent management experience preferred. Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with business/vendor partners. Experience with telesales and entering sales data into a computer while on the phone with a customer. Valid Driver’s License required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High business acumen and acuity. Exceptional organizational skills, managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in negotiation, probing, closing, and handling objections. Detail‑oriented with strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM tools (Salesforce). Excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills with the ability to patiently engage customers. Clear speaking voice, friendly rapport, and effective written communication. Flexible, creative, positive attitude with persuasive selling without being pushy. Strong typing skills (significant words per minute). Fluency in English; bilingual a plus. Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 75%. Independent judgment required.

PAY RANGE

$38,509 – $55,013 annual salary. Final compensation may include bonuses or commissions and will be adjusted based on experience, education, location, and other factors.
