Finance Manager- Commercial Real Estate

Lawrence, MA (Onsite with flexibility to work from the Boston office 1–2 days per week) 401(k) with 3% Match | Generous PTO | Long-Term Growth Opportunity A privately owned real estate investment and development company that has been building and managing properties fpr over 25 years is seeking a Finance Manager to help shape and lead the finance function for its growing portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible role where you'll partner directly with executive leadership and help build processes, structure, and best practices from the ground up. What You'll Own Manage property accounting, property taxes, and insurance activities Lead CAM reconciliations across the portfolio Handle construction accounting for three active developments, including a major mixed-use "live/work/play" project currently underway Develop and manage WIP reporting, lien releases, and asset component tracking processes Build accounting workflows, SOPs, and financial controls for the real estate division Partner closely with the SVP of Asset Management to help establish and scale the finance function Supervise and mentor a small team Introduce new ideas, efficiencies, and best practices to strengthen the organization Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across all entities Utilize Yardi to manage accounting and property-related functions Why This Role Is Unique This is a NEWLY created function within a rapidly growing organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting leadership experience Experience with CAM reconciliations and job costing Hands-on experience with Yardi Experience building a department, setting up SOPs, etc. Strong process improvement mindset and ability to implement best practices
