Construction Safety Coordinator Location: St. George, SC Duration: 5 Months (Start: Immediate Need) Type: 1099 Contractor Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $46/hr Per Diem: None Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: Monday-Saturday | 5x10s + 8 Hours on Saturday Additional Schedule Details: Overtime built into the schedule with approximately 58 hours per week. The Construction Safety Coordinator will provide daily field safety oversight for electrical crews, subcontractors, and supervision while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and project-specific safety requirements. Required Qualifications OSHA 30 Construction Certification Minimum 2+ Years of Construction Safety Experience Preferred Experience conducting field audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments Strong working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards Ability to maintain a visible field presence on active construction sites Preferred Qualifications Electrical Construction Experience Data Center Construction Experience Mission-Critical Construction Experience OSHA 510 Certification CHST, ASP, CSP, OHST, STSC, or Other BCSP Credential Contractor Safety Management Experience What You'll Be Doing Provide daily field safety oversight for electrical construction activities Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments Monitor conduit installation, electrical wiring, material handling operations, and elevated work activities Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project Technical Knowledge Candidates should have working knowledge of: OSHA Construction Standards Electrical Construction Safety Data Center Construction Safety Requirements Conduit Installation Activities Electrical Wiring & Cable Routing Operations Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Material Handling Operations Fall Protection & Elevated Work Aerial Lifts & MEWPs Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions Contractor Safety Management Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a hands-on, field-focused safety professional with experience supporting electrical construction activities and fast-paced jobsite environments.
