Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit, requiring 3-4 years of specialty experience and ARRT-R/BLS certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit performing cardiac and vascular procedures
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Self-scheduled call shifts, averaging 10 call shifts per month
• At least one weekend of call per month covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• One long weekend off per month without requesting
• Uses fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, Philips and Siemens imaging equipment, and PACS

Requirements

• ARRT-R and BLS certification required
• ARRT-VI and ACLS certification preferred
• 3-4 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• License required if applicable
• Compact or LA license required in hand at time of submission
• Experience with vascular, genitourinary, and abdominal/pelvic interventional procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and biopsy
• Proficiency with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Skilled in sterile technique, equipment setup, and scrubbing/circulating roles
• Up-to-date NURSYS report required for consideration

Additional Information

• Facility does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live 65+ miles from the site
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• RTO must be listed on profile and discussed during interview to avoid offer rescission
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the facility for a full year before returning as a travel employee
• Orientation is held five days a week
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring extended stay at the facility during emergency events
