Area Operations Manager

Role Description The Area Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mentor, OH, responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities within a designated area of the facility. This role coordinates staffing, schedules, and workflow to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Area Operations Manager monitors performance metrics, identifies process improvements, and collaborates with cross-functional teams such as engineering, maintenance, and quality to resolve issues and optimize operations. The role includes coaching and developing front-line leaders and team members, managing resource allocation, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and driving a safe, high-performance work environment. Qualifications Operations management skills, including production planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization. Leadership and people management skills, with experience supervising teams, coaching staff, and handling performance issues. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, including use of data, metrics, and root-cause analysis to drive improvements. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably in metals, casting, or aerospace-related production environments. Commitment to safety, quality assurance, and compliance with industry and regulatory standards. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
