Title Electrical Superintendent Location Jacksonville, FL, 32257, USA Category Field Description The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role involves managing field crews, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring the timely completion of projects. The Superintendent must be adept at troubleshooting complex electrical issues and providing technical guidance to the team. Duties/Responsibilities Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various settings Ensure that projects meet established safety and quality standards within the allocated budget and timeline Plan, coordinate, and supervise multiple work crews and all assigned employees on those teams Coordinate work with other disciplines on the job to ensure that all work is handled as efficiently as possible Create daily reports, track progress, submit timesheets, and complete other administrative duties required to accurately track performance and progress Inspect and verify work in progress and ensure that all employees and subcontractors are working productively and safely Interpret drawings accurately and ensure that all wiring is installed properly Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations Manage field crews and coordinate with project managers Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressure Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and safety regulations Proficiency with relevant project management software and tools Ability to work in various environmental conditions Commitment to safety and compliance with regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook) Education/Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical field services or a similar role OSHA 30‑hour certification required Proven track record of managing large-scale projects successfully Strong leadership and team management skills In‑depth knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance protocols, and safety standards Experience in project management and implementation of electrical systems Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and software Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressure Travel Requirements Anticipated 100% travel to project sites nationwide Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, and events Physical Requirements Ability to wear and utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE) Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods Ability to perform repetitive movements Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to and exceeding 50 pounds Adequate vision to perform all required tasks Work on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops Comfortable with heights and able to climb and descend safely Strong sense of balance and spatial awareness Participate in respiratory fit testing and use as required Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Remote & hybrid work options for many positions Paid Time Off – accrue 15 days (120 hours) within first year of service Paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance options Tax‑advantaged accounts (HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA) Company‑paid life and disability insurance 401(k) – company match with immediate vesting Stellar is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any applicant for employment based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, uniformed servicemember status, or any other status protected by law.
