College Director

Riverland Hills Baptist Church is seeking a passionate, relational, and visionary leader to serve as our College Ministry Director. This individual will lead and develop a thriving ministry that helps college students become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ while connecting them to the life and mission of the church.

The College Ministry Director will champion disciple-making among college students, develop leaders, cultivate authentic biblical community, and create opportunities for students to impact their campuses and beyond with the Gospel.

Position Overview
The College Ministry Director reports to the Missions and College Equipping Pastor and provides leadership for all aspects of RHBC’s ministry to college students. This position is responsible for developing ministry strategy, building relationships with students, recruiting and equipping volunteer leaders, coordinating discipleship opportunities, and creating pathways for students to engage in worship, service, leadership, and missions.

What You’ll Do

Lead and Grow the College Ministry
Provide vision, strategy, and leadership for RHBC’s College Ministry.
Develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship pathway for college students.
Create environments that foster spiritual growth, biblical community, evangelism, and leadership development.
Build meaningful relationships with college students both on campus and within the church.
Develop Leaders
Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer and student leaders.
Equip students to discover and use their spiritual gifts.
Develop future ministry leaders and disciple-makers.
Engage Campuses and Communities
Build strategic relationships with local colleges, universities, campus ministries, and community organizations.
Create outreach opportunities that connect students with Christ and the church.
Expand Riverland Hills’ presence and Gospel influence among local college students.
Coordinate Ministry Programming
Plan and oversee weekly gatherings, Bible studies, small groups, retreats, mission trips, leadership development experiences, and special events.
Ensure ministry activities are organized, effective, Christ-centered, and aligned with church objectives.
Collaborate with the Church Staff
Work closely with other ministry departments to integrate college students into the life of the church.
Partner with Missions, Discipleship, Worship, and other ministries to provide opportunities for service and growth.
Support ministry initiatives and strategic priorities established by church leadership.
Ensure Effective Administration
Steward ministry resources and budgets responsibly.
Monitor ministry health and effectiveness through regular evaluation.
Maintain appropriate safety, financial, and operational accountability.

Required Qualifications
Committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear testimony of faith.
Demonstrated call to ministry and discipleship.
Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Strong commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Riverland Hills Baptist Church.
Ability to build meaningful relationships with college students and young adults.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience leading collegiate, young adult, student, or similar ministry environments.
Experience recruiting and leading volunteer teams.
Proven ability to develop ministries that foster growth, discipleship, and engagement.

Full-time ministry position.
Evening and weekend availability required.
Some travel for retreats, conferences, and mission opportunities.
