Salary:  $60,000 - $65,000

Job Summary

As a Food Service Manager/Assistant Director of Dining Services at The Citadel in beautiful and historic Charleston, SC , you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining and event experiences at one of the nation's premier leadership institutions. In this dynamic role, you will oversee all aspects of dining operations within the Coward Hall Mess Hall. You'll collaborate with clients, ensure flawless dining hall execution, and create memorable experiences that reflect The Citadel's tradition of excellence, professionalism, and hospitality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works with the Chef and management team in creating nutritious and top quality food.  
• Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams.  
• Maintains excellent relationships with the client.  
• Manages, trains, and develops associates.  
• Performs other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:  

• 2+ years of food service management experience. 
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations. 
• Strong leadership and communication skills.  
• Financial experience and business acumen skills. 
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet. 
• Associate’s degree is preferred.
