Dishwasher

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provides attentive, prompt, and friendly service to all internal and external customers. Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the products and services offered by the co-op. Handles all product in a safe, sanitary, and conscientious manner. Washes dishes, pans, and utensils using dishwashers or by hand. Sweeps or scrubs floors. Removes trash, compost, and recyclables promptly. Cleans garbage cans with water or steam. Places clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas. Receives and stores supplies; stocks at serving stations and cupboards as needed. Participates in maintaining cleanliness and order. Adheres to Health Department regulations and department sanitation and safety procedures. Adheres to all workplace safety and security policies. Participates in meetings and trainings. Trains, motivates, and holds coworkers accountable. Others duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS PREREQUISITES

High School Diploma or equivalent education or experience. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a retail or food service environment. A minimum of one (1) year’s experience with natural foods and products. Supports the co-op’s core values and aligns with the Co-op Code of Conduct. Adapts readily based on evolving co-op needs or in response to feedback. Maintains composure in highly stressful or adverse situations. ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Flexibility to work any shift, including mornings, middays, evenings, weekends. Must wear closed-toe, skid-resistant shoes; a head covering (hat, bandanna, etc.); and long pants. Ability to work in varying temperatures (approximately 65°F – 95°F). Ability to stand for long periods at a time. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and climb. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
