Maintain an active state of Illinois nursing license (LPN or RN), preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred. Relevant fields include Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Gerontology, Nursing or similar. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a strong track record of supervising, leading, and developing teams in a senior living management role. Minimum of three years of management experience in a senior living, healthcare or long-term care environment including a minimum of two years management working with persons with dementia. Possess strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with residents, their families, team members, and the local community. Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, medical terminology, and medical management protocol, compliance, and standards. Commitment to each resident’s well-being and staff development. Prior experience in staff recruitment, training and development is strongly preferred. Must clear TB and Health Evaluation, and any other health requirements as required by the State rules and regulations. Driving Submission and possession of a valid in-state driver’s license is required. An MVR will be processed in accordance with The Arbor’s policies. Background Check and Drug Screening Meet initial and ongoing requirements of the Health Care Worker Background Check Act. Pass drug screening in accordance with The Arbor's policies. Physical Requirements Ability to maneuver. Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to operate telephone. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to occasionally lift and transfer residents. Ability to access and produce information from the computer. Ability to understand written information.
