Project Manager

Overview Jarvis Sign Company is looking for an experienced and organized Sign Project Manager to join our team. This position plays a key role in managing custom signage projects from estimate and permitting through fabrication, installation, and final completion. Our projects include large exterior signage, illuminated channel letters, monument signs, pylon signs, wall signs, LED retrofits, bank signage, retail branding packages, directional signage, custom fabricated signs, and multi-location rollouts throughout the Middle Tennessee area. Many projects involve permitting, landlord approvals, electrical coordination, scheduling, and communication between multiple departments. The ideal candidate understands the sign industry, can manage multiple projects at once, and communicates professionally with customers, vendors, installers, and internal departments. Responsibilities Oversee signage projects from estimate to final completion while ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. Communicate project updates, scheduling changes, approvals, and issue resolution in a professional and timely manner. Coordinate with design, permitting, production, fabrication, electrical, and installation teams to keep projects moving smoothly. Review project specifications, drawings, materials, proofs, and site conditions before production begins. Manage workflow and scheduling to help keep jobs organized and on track. Coordinate permitting and understand local zoning requirements and sign ordinances. Track project progress and maintain accurate job documentation, notes, and records. Assist with problem-solving when unexpected field or production issues arise. Ensure completed projects meet company and customer expectations. Requirements Previous project management experience in the sign industry, construction industry, or related field preferred. Strong understanding of exterior sign types including monument signs, pylon signs, cabinet signs, wall signs, channel letters, custom fabricated signage, and illuminated signage systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Experience reading drawings, site surveys, specifications, and layouts. Knowledge of permitting and local zoning regulations is preferred. Experience with ERP/project tracking software is a plus. Sign industry experience is strongly preferred. Strong project management and coordination skills. Ability to prioritize and keep multiple jobs moving efficiently. Attention to detail and follow-through. Leadership and problem-solving abilities. Ability to communicate professionally with customers, contractors, city officials, and team members. Understanding of sign fabrication, installation, and production workflow.
