Special Education - Professional-Track Faculty 2026-27 College/School/Unit: College of Education Department: Department of Special Education Posted: Sep 1, 2026 Apply By: Open until filled Description The Department of Special Education in the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin periodically hires professionaltrack full-time and part-time faculty to teach undergraduate andgraduate courses in Special Education. Positions are not availableevery semester and are contingent upon student enrollment and theavailabilityof funding. Appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis, though sometimes a year-longappointment can be made. Salary and title are dependent uponresponsibilities and qualifications. These are non-tenure trackpositions. Qualifications A master's degree is required; doctoral degree is preferred for all positions and required for graduate teaching assignments.Candidates should have excellent communication skills and astudent-centered approach to teaching.
