Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide evidence-based mental health interventions for at-risk children and youth, ages 0-20, who may display early signs of emotional disturbances or have been diagnosed with mental health conditions. \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans in line with best practices in family therapy. \n
- Facilitate therapeutic sessions that accommodate a variety of family dynamics, utilizing interventions that enhance coping skills and emotional resilience. \n
- Engage in multi-generational family therapy, offering support to caregivers of children with intellectual or developmental disabilities through group and individual sessions. \n
- Collaborate with community partners including schools, daycare centers, and faith-based organizations to coordinate holistic care and support. \n
- Provide culturally sensitive training and support focused on trauma-informed care, equipping families with the tools to navigate and overcome adverse childhood experiences. \n
The primary focus of your work will involve serving a diverse array of children facing developmental and intellectual disabilities, along with their families. By delivering compassionate care and targeted interventions, you will play an essential role in improving the overall mental health outcomes for these vulnerable populations.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required. \n
- Must possess an active and unrestricted LMFT license for practice in California. \n
- Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours each week during after-school hours, specifically from 4 PM to 7 PM, with additional weekend availability being advantageous. \n

- Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support and counseling services to children and adolescents, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. \n
- Prior experience or training in working with multilingual clients, specifically in bilingual Spanish or Portuguese settings. \n
- A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle is essential to fulfill any potential requirements for in-community services. \n
- Candidates must pass a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprinting, aligning with our commitment to safeguarding our clients. \n
