Opportunity Highlights
Schedule: 5 x 8-hour shifts per week | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Rare overtime | No call
Job Setting: Hospital/Surgical Facility - 5 rooms | Open to local locums
Types of Cases: GU and GI cases | Adults only (no pediatrics) | Supervision and own cases (1:3 or 1:4 ratio)
Charting: Paper with iPro
Credentialing: Privileging approximately 30 days
Minimum Requirements
Certifications: Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists | Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
Licensure: Current license as a registered professional nurse | New Jersey license required
Responsibilities
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
