Outside Sales Representative
We are seeking a motivated and professional Outside Sales Representative to develop new business and manage customer relationships throughout California. This position will serve as a company ambassador, promoting products, identifying new applications, and providing excellent customer service.
Position Highlights
- 90% travel throughout California, including LA, Orange County, Inland Empire, San Diego, and Northern California
- Occasional out-of-state and international travel
- Attend approximately 2 trade shows per year (up to 1 week each)
- Office approximately 1 day per week for training
- Gas/mileage reimbursement, laptop, and expense account
Responsibilities
- Prospect for new customers through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and industry research
- Schedule and conduct meetings with engineers, buyers, purchasing contacts, and decision-makers
- Present and demonstrate products and identify new customer applications
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
- Prepare quotes, sales contracts, and delivery estimates
- Manage assigned territory and meet annual sales goals and forecasts
- Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records
- Coordinate customer training and resolve customer delivery issues
- Work closely with inside sales to support account activity
- Attend trade shows and customer events
Qualifications
- Outside sales experience, preferably in a business-to-business or industrial environment
- Strong communication, prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
- Professional, positive, and goal-oriented
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a large territory
- Strong computer/CRM skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable traveling approximately 90% of the time
