Overview We are seeking a Senior Buyer for our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. Responsibilities Review and negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring compliance and favorable terms for the organization. Support purchasing activities, including processing requisitions, RFQs, purchase orders, supplier status, and relationships. Evaluate bids, select and recommend suppliers, and negotiate price, delivery, quality, and service. Follow up on awards until order completion. Negotiate and settle damage claims, rejections, returns, over‑shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes. Comply with corporate policies, procedures and applicable federal, state or local regulations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field and 6+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing. Advanced knowledge of contract law and business terms and conditions; government procurement experience preferred. Ability to make decisions or suggestions based on rules or procedures. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to select appropriate alternatives. Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle; proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. Organized, self‑motivated, proactive, results‑oriented, multi‑tasking, priority setting and time‑management skills. Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills; keen attention to detail. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Salary $67,400.00 – $112,400.00 per year (Pennsylvania base).
