Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

Temporary coverage during FMLA leave (ongoing length TBD)

Schedule

3-4 days per week
10-hour shifts
Call: unlikely / not expected

Practice Setting

Hospital-based Cardiothoracic Surgery service

Clinical Responsibilities

First assist in the operating room
Outpatient office visits
Inpatient management including:
- Rounding
- Admissions
- Discharges

Case Mix / Procedures

Thoracic (non-cardiac) surgery required
Robotic surgery experience required
Primarily minimally invasive procedures
Foregut surgery
Lung surgery

Requirements

Experience in thoracic surgery (non-cardiac)
Robotic surgery experience (required)
Ability to function independently across OR, clinic, and inpatient settings
Flu vaccination required
