Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, Cardiothoracic Surgery – Per Diem Providence Medical Group is seeking a dedicated per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Cardiovascular Surgery to join our respected team in Santa Rosa, CA. Position Overview Work in a collaborative, patient‑centered environment where your skills and contributions make a meaningful impact. This per diem role offers 12‑hour shifts, flexible scheduling, and the ability to call from home with a 30‑minute response time. Key Responsibilities Provide first‑assist surgical coverage in cardiothoracic procedures. Perform proficient vein harvesting. Assist with a variety of cases including CABG, valve replacements & repairs, arrhythmia surgery, aneurysm repair, aortic dissections, VATS, open lung surgery, pleural space surgery, and rib plating. Participate in the Level II trauma center operations. Adhere to quality metrics and performance incentives. Compensation Compensation is between $180,345 and $224,607 per year. The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, call stipends, shift incentives, and other cash compensation. Providers typically receive CME allowances and other benefits offered by the medical group employer. Benefits Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility.
